Description

Force 15 HP Outboard POWERHEAD.
Pn 819553A15.
Condition is used, FOR PARTS OR REBUILD!
Compression was 95 psi top, 115 psi bottom.
I did hear this motor run in a tank for a short time, but it ran rough.. initially found a bad head gasket, upon further inspection also found top cylinder piston has play on pin. Can visually see the pin is moving inside the piston looking in through reed opening. The pin does not appear to be moving inside the connecting rod.
That being said, you will be needing 1 piston and pin at least. The rods feel tight on crank from what I can feel just getting a couple fingers inside the block, so I believe the rods and crank are good. Bottom piston is probably good as well.
The block looks good, no cracks, the cylinder walls are not all scarred up, the bottom cylinder does have a small blemish I assume was from water from bad head gasket. I tried adding a close picture of this.
Bottom line is, this motor will need to come apart, parts will need replacement, exactly how many parts I cannot guarantee- but again, it did run, had fair compression considering a bad head gasket, and I believe it could be rebuilt without changing everything inside it besides for sure 1 piston and pin. Or, use it for parts on another motor.
You are getting the block and internal parts only as pictured, still assembled as pictured. No cylinder head or other outer parts. What you see is what you are buying!
Removed from a 1998 Force MLH 15 HP 2cyl 2 stroke FRESHWATER outboard, serial# OE306722.
Should fit various Force and Gamefisher 9.9 + 15 HP models.
